New Uscom receives GSA listing to sell to US Government

Uscom announced the receipt of USA General Services Administration Schedule (GSA) listing. The listing provides details of pricing and other terms and conditions of supply and is required to sell into the $45B USD PA Government market that includes the USA Federal Government, Veterans Affairs (VA), and some State and Local Governments. GSA listing is available to businesses, non-profit organisations and educational Institutions to sell products and services to US Government customers, the largest purchaser of medical devices in the USA, which is the largest medical device market in the world.

Uscom BP+ Central Blood Pressure Monitor Released

Uscom announced the release of the Uscom BP+ central blood pressure monitor, the world’s most advanced blood pressure device. The patent protected BP+ technology has the potential to change the way hypertension and heart failure are monitored and managed, and is the culmination of a collaboration by a team of international clinicians, engineers and software technicians spanning over 10 years.

BP+ and Mount Everest Hypertension Study

Uscom announced the publication of a study of 90 British servicemen and women and the effects on their central blood pressure (cBP) using the Uscom BP+ as they ascended from near sea level to a maximum of 5,360m over a period of 14 days in the Dhaulagiri region in the Himalayas at the base of Mount Everest. The study found that systolic cBP measured by the Uscom BP+ was more sensitive than conventional systolic brachial (arm) BP for detecting the progressive BP changes of high altitude.
