Uscom showcase the BP+ and Spirosonic across Europe

Over the last 4 weeks, the Uscom brand has been exposed to a vast number of distribution partners, clinicians, pharmaceutical companies and telemedicine providers across Asia and Europe. The major work, already underway following this round of exposure, is to evaluate and sign distribution partners, advance the use of our technology with Key Clinicians, and further the deployment of Uscom in telemedicine applications.

The first stop was Milan, for the International Congress of the European Respiratory Society (ERS), a five-day event covering key topics in respiratory medicine from across the spectrum of disease areas including TB, lung cancer, pneumonia, cystic fibrosis, COPD, and asthma among others.

Uscom also presented the BP+, central blood pressure solution to over 70 clinicians, all in the pulmonary space, managing pulmonary hypertension. Colin Sullivan, inventor of the nasal CPAP technology used to treat sleep apnea, also spent some time at the Uscom booth at the ERS.

This year’s Congress has undoubtedly been a platform for improving standards in respiratory medicine and putting the spotlight on respiratory diseases. The ERS was an opportunity to discuss integrating Uscom technology into global pharma trials for lung disease and hypertension to respiratory doctors, pharma companies, and researchers.

Following the ERS, Uscom traveled to Switzerland, to meet with researchers using Uscom Spirometry products for Industrial Occupational Health respiratory health testing. During this meeting it was identified that their application also required measurement of spontaneously breathing patients over a 10-15 minute period. Our Spirosonic Ultrasonic technology allows this to be done very easily, unlike non-Ultrasonic solutions. This application holds great promise for our Uscom’s unique technology.

Next stop was Denmark, where telemedicine is also a driver in the Scandinavian Health system. Rapid growth exists for remote diagnostics in the home environment, allowing clinicians to make decisions without the need for the patient or clinician to travel.

During this trip, Uscom met with Danish companies providing telemedicine software solutions, not only in Denmark, but Canada, UK, Brazil, and Germany. These companies expressed interest in the incorporation of Uscom technology into their remote diagnostic platforms.

Last stop was the U.K., where Uscom met with a key distribution partner to explore the work they are doing with BP+ and the use of Central BP for the management of hypertension- in particular in the pre-clinical environment. That is, finding pathways to assist patients manage their hypertension themselves at a community level. This will further support that the Uscom BP+ and Central BP, is revolutionizing hypertension.
